5052 alloy aluminum plate has excellent performance and good corrosion resistance, making it a widely used rust proof aluminum plate. Today, I will introduce to you how 5052 alloy aluminum plate is uniformly annealed during the production process.

1. The homogenization annealing process is also known as tissue homogenization or homogenization. Its essence is to achieve homogenization of 5052 aluminum plate ingots through dissolution and atomic diffusion under high-temperature heating conditions. The diffusion of atoms is the migration movement of metals and their alloys through thermal vibration, which can be divided into homogeneous diffusion and heterogeneous diffusion. Vacancy migration is the main diffusion mode of atoms in metals and alloys, as the energy required for atom diffusion through vacancy migration is minimal.

2. The diffusion of atoms occurs within the crystal during uniform annealing, which enables the uneven chemical composition within the grain to achieve uniformity through diffusion. Due to the fact that the homogenization annealing of 5052 alloy aluminum plate is carried out at temperatures below the unbalanced solidus or eutectic point, the insoluble phases and non-metallic inclusions distributed at the grain boundaries in the ingot cannot be eliminated through dissolution and diffusion processes, which hinder the diffusion between grains and the aggregation of grains. Therefore, homogenization cannot cause significant changes in the grain and shape of the alloy matrix. Homogenization annealing can only reduce or eliminate intergranular segregation, and has little effect on regional segregation.
